Blue Hors Zack - an unusual breeding stallion

Blue Hors Zack is a stallion of exceptional quality. His offspring have been drawing headlines again in 2015 by repeatedly placing first at licensings and shows. For instance, the Danish Warmblood 2-year-old mare of the year was the Zack daughter Atterupgaards Mildura, bred by Atterupgaard, Jystrup, Mid Zealand. Sezuan repeated the 2014 triumph and won the world championship for 6-year-old dressage horse with his German rider, Dorothee Schneider. At the same show, Zick Flower and Allan Grøn won the competitions for 7-year-old former WC-contestants. Furthermore, several Zack-offspring of which the oldest are now 8 years old, are doing very well indeed in small tour competitions. We can mention horses such as Glock's Zonik, Blue Hors Zepter, Zick Flower etc.

In addition, Zack has sired several licensed stallions and premium stallions in Germany. With three very good basic gaits and a great ability to collect - in combination with an outstanding willingness to work, Zack is a stallion with a bright future. Unfortunately, he was ill as a six -year-old and suffered from an eye injury, which has delayed his training.

While handling a busy breeding career, Zack has also been victories in Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I at the international show in Odense as well as at national shows. The plan is for Zack to make his Grand Prix debut in 2016.

His sire Rousseau won the stallion performance test in dressage in Ermelo in 2002. In the same year, he won the Pavo Cup in Holland with an up till now never reached score. By both test riders, he got a perfect 10. At the age of 5 he won the stallion performance test in ’s-Hertogenbosch and thereafter the silver medal at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. Zack is the second foal out of the mare Orona, whose first foal by Neostan (Florestan) won intermediate (M) level dressage classes in the Netherlands as a six-year-old. Orona herself succeeded in intermediate (M) level classes and finished a very good IBOP test (mare performance test). She also produced two KWPN elite mares, one of them is by Blue Hors Don Romantic. Orona is a daughter of the Grand Prix stallion Jazz, one of the most sought-after stallions in the Netherlands, who was successful in international top sport. In 2013, he was 2nd on the WBFSH ranking for dressage stallions.

In 2016, Zack is once more the stallion that can boast of most sons selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in Herning, with a total of 8.

Zack is licensed by Danish Warmblood, Swedish Warmblood, KWPN, Hannover, Oldenburg, Rheinland, Westfalen, and Holsten.
